The Duchess of Cambridge has had to cancel a public appearance due to an undisclosed matter regarding her children.

Kate Middleton was due to appear at the Tusk Conservation Awards in Leicester Square tonight along with her husband, Prince William.

However, a statement from the palace reveals that Kate won’t be attending due to issues with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – however, it has been insisted that there are no serious problems regarding their health.

However, she did make an appearance at a reception being held at the nearby National Portrait Gallery to meet the finalists of the awards this afternoon.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said:

“The duchess is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children.

“She will still however meet finalists at a tea at Kensington Palace this afternoon. The duke as patron will attend both.”

The awards night celebrates those who have worked to protect Africa’s natural heritage with Prince William visiting Tusk projects in Namibia and Tanzania in 2018.
