Kate Middleton made a big mistake when shopping for school uniforms

Easily done, to be fair.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are due to return to school this week and like many other mums, Kate Middleton has been busy preparing for the big event. School books and bags, lunch boxes and of course, school uniforms all need to be sorted out but it seems one thing went wrong on the Cambridge family's back to school shopping trip. We've always thought the Duchess of Cambridge seems very down to earth and the latest report definitely suggests so as it's believed she went along with her kids to buy their shoes and forget one important item. Socks. According to Hello magazine, George and Charlotte were wearing their summer sandals at the time and so, they had to borrow socks from the shop to try on their school shoes. Now look, we don't think it's a major issue if they were missing socks but to get the perfect fit for shoes they'll probably be wearing a lot, it's probably wise to do so. They're due to return to school (George to big school and Charlotte to nursery) any day now although it doesn't look like we'll be getting any photos of the occasion. Apparently, the royals always release a photo of the first day of 'big' school but there aren't any photos in consequent years and we can see why...it could get a little embarrassing as they grow older.
