
Kathryn Thomas conceived both of her daughters through IVF
Presenter Kathryn Thomas has opened up about the struggles she faced when starting a family of her own.
The mum conceived both of her daughters through IVF but considered adoption before she managed to get pregnant.
Thomas welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Ellie, in 2018.
She went on to give birth to her second child, another girl named Grace, in October 2021.
The mum has been incredibly vocal about her fertility struggles throughout the years and has even opened up about suffering miscarriages in the past.
Kathryn Thomas revealed she considered adoption in a new interview with the A Little Birdie Told Me podcast.
She explained that she wanted to have options during the early days of IVF.
"The longer it [IVF] went on, the resolve it starts to chip away and it became all-encompassing…
"Deep down I felt it would happen, I never stopped believing. But did it become harder… and when we tried IVF I said ‘if this doesn’t work now, that is it’.
"We actually even went to an adoption meeting, I just said I need to know our options," she shared.
Fans of Thomas have often praised her for being so incredibly honest about what she experienced when starting a family.
