Kathryn Thomas has given birth to her first child, a baby girl.

Ellie McLoughlin was born on Friday, March 23 at 10.02am and according to Kathryn, she is "the most perfect thing I've ever seen." The Operation Transformation presenter took to Instagram to announce the news today. Sharing a photo of Ellie's feet, she wrote: "Ms Ellie Mcloughlin couldn’t wait any longer to meet us. "Our gorgeous girl was born Fri 23rd March @ 10.02am. The 39-year-old had previously spoken honestly about her past miscarriages and her desire to start a family. Speaking on The Late Late Show, she said that she believes there is still a stigma in Ireland around miscarriages and that the subject is very much "taboo." She said: "For us, it wasn't just the miscarriages, it was the length of time it was taking to get pregnant, like three years, and you have the stress of that on top of everything else as well. "I've always thought of myself as very optimistic, but I was completely wall-fallen that we couldn't make this work.
