Kathryn Thomas has given birth to her first child, a baby girl.
Ellie McLoughlin was born on Friday, March 23 at 10.02am and according to Kathryn, she is “the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen.”
The Operation Transformation presenter took to Instagram to announce the news today.
Sharing a photo of Ellie’s feet, she wrote:
“Ms Ellie Mcloughlin couldn’t wait any longer to meet us.
“Our gorgeous girl was born Fri 23rd March @ 10.02am. She is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen and Mum and Dad are totally and utterly in love.”

Kathryn announced that she was expecting a child with fiancé Padraig McLaughlin late last year.
The 39-year-old had previously spoken honestly about her past miscarriages and her desire to start a family.
Speaking on The Late Late Show, she said that she believes there is still a stigma in Ireland around miscarriages and that the subject is very much “taboo.”
She said:
“For us, it wasn’t just the miscarriages, it was the length of time it was taking to get pregnant, like three years, and you have the stress of that on top of everything else as well.
“I’ve always thought of myself as very optimistic, but I was completely wall-fallen that we couldn’t make this work. It is very testing on a relationship and especially on men, because while we women tend to talk about it, men bottle it.”

Kathryn began dating businessman Padraig in mid-2013 after ending her five-year-long relationship with Garda Enda Waters.
The pair announced their engagement in 2016, with Kathryn later saying that she could only agree to get married if their “lives stayed exciting.”
