Katie Price has hit back at rumours that she’s jealous of model Amy Willerton.
Price signed Willerton to her management company, after she won her show in 2011 and
took to her website to deny the jealousy claims.
The glamour model spoke out after Heat magazine reportedly told her that they were going to publish a story on her feelings towards Amy.
“I accept that I am fair game for criticism some of which I deserve and some of which is unfair but part of the life I lead,” she wrote.
“What I don’t think is correct is for magazines to simply make stories up to suit their current news agenda and that is what Heat are doing.”
“Amy Willerton won my show. I picked her as the winner. She is a gorgeous looking girl and I have no doubt she will have a long career. She is bright and determined.”
“She took a different path and made up her own mind. I have no issue with that.” she continued.
“I am a married mum of 4 who has recently given birth. Why on earth would I compare myself to someone who is 21? Why would Amy being beautiful make me (or any woman) angry, jealous or bitter?”
“This magazine – which is aimed at a female audience – would not publish a story that men are jealous of how another looks but continue to make out that women become unhinged at the sight of an attractive girl.”
The model concluded; “I wish Amy well and I am sure she will do well. Amy is already receiving a certain amount of online abuse from people jealous of her looks or her flirtation with Joey Essex. This is a real shame and people need to think twice about making up nonsense that encourages that sort of behaviour.”
