This is heart-breaking stuff.

Kesha took to Instagram this evening to share an update about her ongoing legal battle with Sony.

The singer said that she had been offered ‘freedom’ if she was to say she lied about the rape allegations regarding music producer Dr Luke.

However, she has made it clear that this is not an option and she would “rather let the truth ruin her career than lie for a monster”.

The Instagram post in full reads:

“So. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors.

“I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again”.

Back in February, a court ruling decided that singer Kesha was not permitted to exit her contract with Kemosabe Records (the label owned by her alleged abuser Dr Luke).

However, Kesha is appealing the decision with her lawyers arguing that without making new music, her career will be irreparably damaged.
