“Don’t take today for granted because tomorrow’s not promised.”

Kevin Hart has said that he has a new found appreciation for life following his major car crash.

The comedian and actor suffered three fractures to his spine following the incident in Malibu, California earlier this year.

Both he and the driver of the car, Jared Black, were treated for serious injuries when their car tumbled down an embankment.

Hart has since taken to Instagram to thank his fans for their support, and to detail the ways his life has changed since the accident.

“When God talks, you gotta listen,” he said in a video shared on IGTV. “I swear, life is funny, because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the thing that you needed most.”

“And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down. After my accident, I see things differently. I see life from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is through the roof. I’m thankful for my family, my friends.

“I’m thankful for the people that simply ride with me and have been with me. Because you stood by me, my fans.”

Hart added that he is looking forward to “an amazing 2020” and that his world is “forever changed.”

The video includes shots of Hart receiving treatment in hospital, recovering at home, and spending time with his friends and family.

“Don’t take today for granted because tomorrow’s not promised,” he said. “I’m thankful for simply still being here, on the road to being a bigger and better version of me.”
