Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly expecting their third child together after hiring a surrogate.

And new details emerged this week, revealing that the superstar couple will be welcoming baby number three in January.

Kim and Kanye reportedly paid $45,000 for the surrogate, who is “doing really well”, according to TMZ.

The publication reports that they decided to have their third child via a surrogate because of Kim’s medical difficulties during her first two pregnancies.

The family is said to be “over the moon” at the news after Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months.

A source told People:

“The entire family is over the moon. Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate.

“Given her health scares in the past, Kim felt the need to hire a surrogacy agency that helped serve as the liaison in finding a healthy woman who would be a great surrogate option for her and Kanye.

“Both of them have been super involved in the process.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who tied the knot in 2014, are already parents to 21 month old Saint while and North, 4.

The reality TV previously opened up about her struggles with placenta accreta and preeclampsia during her previous two pregnancies.

She said during an episode earlier this year:

“Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle.

“I’ve gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don’t feel like it’s safe for me to conceive again myself.

“I want my kids to have siblings, and I want to know that I did everything I could to make this happen.”
