Dax Shepard has been forced to deny that he cheated on his wife Kristen Bell with the step-granddaughter of Hollywood royalty Julie Andrews.
Kayti Edwards, who step-granny Julie has starred in everything from The Sound of Music to the Princess Diaries, has claimed that she and Dax first got together in 2005.
“It was just a brief thing, we would hook up here and there, but we had a little friendship when we saw each other,” she told The Daily Mail.
They reconnected at a party in 2009, Kayti claims.
Dax had been going out with Kristen for two years at that stage.
“Dax grabbed me and was like ‘let’s pick up where we left off’ and he threw me into this photo booth with him,” recalled Kayti.
“And it was kind of like this make out session in this photo booth that we were being overly dramatic.”
They later ended up spending the night together, she says.
Dax has today denied the story in a post on Instagram, saying that Kayti has claimed to have had affairs with other famous men in the past.
“Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9,” he wrote
“Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me.
“I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it’s about my #1, Brad Pitt,” he joked.
Dax and Kristen got married in 2013 and have two daughters, five-year-old Lincoln and four-year-old Delta.
