So Laura Whitmore decided to put up a few pictures on Twitter but Kathryn Thomas’ remedy for a broken heart is a little more private and a lot more up our street.
The television presenter, who split from long-term partner Enda Waters earlier this year, revealed that those closest to her and a glass of the good stuff helped her through.
“Great friends and great family and the odd bottle of great wine gets you through,” she told Irish Tatler.

Laura Whitmore is also said to be getting over a break-up.
The pair called it a day back in July but the split only became public last night, something that The Voice Of Ireland presenter is grateful for.
“It was good to have my own time to get my head around it, and deal with it because it’s not called a break-up for nothing, it’s horrendous for anyone to go through,” she said before adding that she is still close to Enda.
“The good thing is, we are still good friends. There is always going to be a huge sadness for a while. When you spend five and a half years with somebody it’s a long time and it’s an adjustment; I think I’m still adjusting.
“Nobody wants to be single at 34. I’m at a stage when most of my friends are married with kids but, then again, I’ve had a very different life, I’ve been so independent. I’ve travelled for 10 years and that in itself when I look back, and even exploring it with my family and friends, that period of my life was amazing.”

Kathryn is concentrating on work at the moment.
And while the 34-year-old beauty admits that she misses her former flame, she seems to be content with staying positive and looking forward to the future.
“But it was very different to what my friends were doing, which was going to college and settling down and doing all that. Enda never wanted to change that. That’s why we worked so well too. I loved being in that relationship but sometimes relationships don’t last.”
She added: “I’m happy in my own skin, I’m happy that I was able to get through it and come out the other side.”
Kathryn is currently busy with work and will no doubt be looking forward to the second series of The Voice Of Ireland which kicks off next year. Speaking of which, the full interview with her will be published in the January issue of Irish Tatler.
