TMZ has confirmed that Liam Hemsworth has filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus, after seven months of marriage.
The divorce was filed citing "irreconcilable differences."
Liam has hired renowned lawyer Laura Wasser to issue the divorce proceedings, whose clients have included Ryan Reynolds, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum.
According to the online publication, "Liam and Miley had a prenup, keeping their earnings during the marriage separate, so there won't be a fight over money."
"And, since there are no kids, we're told the divorce will be easy breezy."
It had also been rumoured that Miley Cyrus had cheated on Liam, which she has since spoken out against.
Taking to Instagram this evening, the singer wrote a lengthy response to the rumours, denying them.
She wrote:
"I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating."
"Once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP."
"Liam and I have been together for a decade. I've said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will."
