Liam Payne did something very thoughtful for Cheryl’s birthday

This is actually lovely.

Ah bless.

Although people may have been sceptical about their romance at the beginning, Liam Payne and Cheryl are proving them wrong.

The new mum turned 34 yesterday and to mark the occasion, Liam decided to go back to basics when planning her birthday surprise.

Rather than make a big fancy gesture, he thinks “memories” are most important to his other half.

Chatting on a Philadelphia radio station earlier this week as part of his ongoing promotional tour, he said:

“We are going to have a little get together thing for her which will be nice, she needs more memories and stuff like that rather than presents, she’s got everything, if she wants something she’ll get it.

“Now I’ve got to think of memories and things that will bring us all together. It’s all happened so quickly and it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever been a part of. Making my son, it’s incredible. It’s a really special time.”

Awwwwh.

That’s not all either for some of Chery’s soldiers went above and beyond to do something special for her birthday too.

A Twitter fan account set up in dedication to the singer sent the mother of one a lovely message last night.

Explaining that they had set up a Just Giving Crowdfunding page in order to raise money for the celebrity’s charity, Cheryl’s Trust, the tweet was well received by the lady herself.

Cheryl’s Trust was established by the singer in 2015 in a bid to help disadvantaged young people in the North East of England, including Newcastle, her native city.

According to OK magazine, the page has raised £500 to date and it was a lovely way to celebrate her 34th birthday.

Cheryl, who became mum to baby Bear in March, has been relatively quiet on social media since the birth of her first child, but like us all, she’s clearly a fan of a good filter and posted a selfie yesterday.

Thanking people for their birthday messages, she wrote:

“Birthday bunny…Thank you sooo much for all my lovely birthday wishes.
you always make me feel so special”.
