However, the dad of one revealed the reason behind this decision in a recent interview with The Telegraph:
"We’ve only shown him in glimpses. "We don’t want him to have the pressure that me and Cheryl have, as household names. We want him to enjoy himself first and then figure it out".
In this same interview, the 24-year-old addressed the age gap between him and Cheryl, who is 34-years-old. Chatting with the publication, he said:
"She’s even more amazing than I thought. I was watching her do Fight For This Love when I was a kid, and now we’re together with a kid," he continued. "I feel like I’m X Factor’s biggest winner."As fans of the duo might remember, they first met when 14-year-old Liam auditioned for The X Factor and Cheryl was a member of the judging panel. Liam then went on to join chart-topping band One Direction before carving out a successful solo career over the last year.
