Singer Lily Allen has become embroiled in a heated debate about abortion after taking to Twitter to express her pro-choice attitudes.
It all started when the singer, and mother, took to her social media account to comment on the topical issue. She wrote: “Can small minded idiot blokes stop telling women whether or not they’re entitled to abortions please?”

Lily and her partner Sam Cooper are expecting their second child together.
After expressing her belief that women should have the right to choose themselves, she received quite the backlash from those against abortion to which she responded: “to all the Pro Lifers spamming me with shit. This is one of the many reasons i believe a woman should have a right to choose. the end [sic].”
The pop star, who retired from music back in 2009, also wrote a number of posts explaining the reasoning behind her views.

The singer also said that her comments were the lyrics to her first single.
She said: “Babies are lovely but quite hard work… Sometimes there are lovely dads who take their responsibilities very seriously and work very hard to look after their babies. These men should be applauded.
“But sometimes, quite often, when the baby cries a lot the man gets frustrated and leaves the baby and the lady that had the baby.”
Whether you agree or disagree with the pregnant pop star, you've got to admit that it took guts for her to speak out about it so publicly.
