According to Closer magazine, Simon Cowell has initiated talks with former judges Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue about a possible return to the next series of the show.
The show has been suffering bad ratings and the media mogul is convinced that a return to the more familiar judging panel – including Louis Walsh – will help reignite the X Factor spark.

The magazine also claims that Cowell feels that N-Dubz singer and mentor of last year’s winners Tulisa has lost her edge however, he is happy with Nicole Scherzinger and would like to keep her but she has only agreed to one series.

And that’s not all. Our favourite judge, king of the comeback and Take That star Gary Barlowe is also up for the chop. Apparently the judge only communicates with Cowell via producers and ITV is anxious that Cowell returns but his conflicting X Factor US schedule probably means that this is unlikely.
