Lottie Ryan thanks hospital staff after birth of first child
She welcomed her first child earlier this month.
Lottie Ryan has returned to social media following the birth of her first child.
The radio DJ and Dancing With the Stars winner welcomed a baby boy with husband Fabio Aprile earlier this month at 33 weeks.
Sharing a black and white photo of her hand next to her baby boy's, the RTÉ presenter thanked staff at Dublin's Rotunda hospital and revealed the name of her first born - Wolf.
"Wolf Aprile," she wrote. "The newest member of our little family! Our hearts are so full of joy.
"Forever grateful to the incredible staff at The Rotunda, particularly NICU — they’re are no words to describe how much we appreciate how well you looked after Wolf.
She added: "Let the adventure begin."
Ryan's agents, NK Management, announced the happy news earlier this month, saying that the couple are enjoying their time as a family.
"NK Management is pleased to announce that Lottie Ryan has given birth to a baby boy prematurely at 33 weeks," they said in a statement.
"Lottie and Fabio will now be spending time as a family and we ask that their privacy be respected at this time."
Lottie, daughter to the late Gerry Ryan, announced that she was expecting her first child earlier this year. Sharing a post on her Instagram with a picture of a baby grow, she wrote: "I guess quarantine wasn't that boring after all #comingsoon."
The 35-year-old spoke earlier this year about the morning sickness she experienced during her first trimester, saying: "I've just been nauseous. I feel like I have the world's worst hangover but I didn't have any booze so it's not justified."
Lottie was due to give birth around August time, but welcomed her son two months early.
She previously told colleague Jennifer Zamparelli that she was having "a little fella, a little boy and like we could not be happier.
"It didn’t really matter to me to be honest with you, if it was a girl or a boy," she said at the time. "I won the bet though between me and Fabio because he thought it was a girl but it’s a boy."
