The other day, Zara McDermott revealed that she and
Love Island's Adam Collard had decided to call it quits.
In a rather emotive and briefly (yet beautifully) salty statement, she said that the pair had ended their relationship.
The former government advisor said that she was
"heartbroken" to announce the news, but that she would always have a "special place" in her heart for Adam.
Zara also added that she had "tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be to make it work."
"Sometimes in life, you just aren't enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be," she said.

Following the pair's split,
Love Island fans (us, it was us) waited with baited breath to see what Adam would say about the breakup.
Would he too release an upsetting IG Story about the split, saying that he and Zara just weren't meant to be at this time? Would he express disappointment that he had lost his girlfriend?
Or would he simply stay silent instead, choosing to keep the details of his relationship off social media?
Turns out it was none of those and he posted a shirtless gym gains pic instead.

Since the breakup, Adam has also shared a series of trailers for his new fitness brand The Sculpt, a photo of his fresh new fade, and an online petition to end homophobic bullying.
The shirtless pic is his first proper post since Zara's statement, but honestly, this is the guy's brand all over so we're not even going to feign surprise.
Maybe he just needs to take some time to focus on his sculpting for the time being, lads.
