Love Island's Caroline Flack reportedly arrested and charged with assault

Love Island's Caroline Flack has been arrested and charged with assault, according to reports.

The 40-year-old is reported to have been arrested after a fight at the home she shares with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told The Daily Mail that the presenter has been charged with assault by beating. She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 23.

The statement said:

"Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on Friday, 13 December with assault by beating. She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 December.

"This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man being assaulted. He was not seriously injured."
A representative for Flack confirmed to Metro that police had been called to her home after a "private domestic incident."

"She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons," they said.

The Love Island host recently returned to the UK after spending some time filming in South Africa for winter Love Island. 

The new series of the reality TV series is said to be starting on January 8, 2020.
