Love Island’s Laura Anderson confirms she has moved on after split from Paul Knops

She also hit back at reports she was “bitter” about her split with her Love Island co-star.

Love Island’s Laura Anderson has confirmed she has moved on after her split with Paul Knops last month.

The pair, who came in second in the ITV2 show earlier this summer, are said to have “cooled off their romance” in September after spending some time apart.

Since then, there’s been a lot of back-and-forth about the real reason for their split.

Paul said that they “weren’t compatible for each other” and that he was initially the one that wanted to split – and why they never made things official.

Meanwhile, Laura said that she had bene hoping they would spend more time together and build a “proper relationship” after their holidays (Paul was at Burning Man in the USA while she was in Dubai) but that didn’t end up happening.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Laura had called one of Paul’s exes to “try to dig up dirt on him” following their split. It was claimed that she spilled the details of the conversation during the launch party for Dani Dyer’s clothing line last week, leading other Islanders to feel she had “crossed a line”.

Laura has since responded to the claims, insisting they were “inaccurate” and that she has moved on from their relationship.

She posted on her Instagram Stories:

“Regarding today’s press; I think its quite clear from how I acted in the villa that I’m not a ‘bitter ex.’

“Regardless of what has been inaccurately printed and what I was informed about Paul, I’m not the one selling stories on the matter.”

“He is in the past which I’d like to keep that way. I’ve moved on, I’m happily seeing someone else which I have chosen to keep private. It really just is boring now.”
