We’re big advocates of spoiling yourself when it’s deserved, which is why we love that Meghan Markle got herself a gift to celebrate her success in her career a couple of years ago.
The actress bought a Cartier watch she’d always wanted when she found out that her show Suits was getting a third season.
“I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch.
“When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.”
The stainless steel and yellow gold watch contains sapphire and is certainly pricey. It would have set Meghan back the equivalent of around €5,446.
To personalise the watch, she had a message engraved on it to remind her that she’d gotten it for herself to mark her success.
“I had it engraved on the back, ‘To M.M. From M.M.’ and I plan to give it to my daughter one day.
“That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”
Meghan left her role as paralegal Rachel Zane on Suits last year after filming season seven.
Her character’s life on the show mirrored her own as this season sees Rachel walking down the aisle.
Her co-stars on the show will make the trip across the Atlantic to be there for Meghan on her big day next week, a show source has confirmed.
