Love/Hate star Peter Coonan will play disgraced Anglo CEO David Drumm in a new movie on the Irish banking guarantee.
The film, which is being made by TV3, will recreate the events leading up to the landmark decision by the Government to guarantee the country’s domestic banking system. The Guarantee will be begin at the height of the boom and continue to the night of September 29th 2008, when the “most significant political decision in modern Irish history” was finalised.
The movie will be directed by Ian Power and will be based on the screenplay of the same name by Colin Murphy, with David Murray, Gary Lydon, Orla Fitzgerald and Morgan Jones also confirmed for the cast.
