Alright, alright, alright.

Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey has officially joined the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin.

McConaughey, who graduated from UT in 1993, will be a “professor of practice” at the Moody College of Communication as faculty in the Department of Radio-Television-Film, according to a university news release.

He has been a visiting professor since 2015, but the role is now finally official.

He will continue teaching a script to screen film production class for which he developed the course curriculum.

The university said that the actor is respected for his “willingness to work with students beyond the classroom”.
