Love their friendship.

Love Island host Maya Jama was spotted cozying up to her ex, UK rapper Stormzy, at the weekend at the All Points East Festival in Victoria Park, London.

The former couple were seen chatting and laughing while backstage at the festival, which Stormzy was headlining.

The pair split in 2019 after four years of dating.

In photos published by The Sun, Maya and Stormzy can be seen in conversation after his two-hour set on stage. The TV presenter was in the photographer’s pit, watching the show.

She reportedly flew back from holidaying in Ibiza to see her former flame perform.

For any fans hoping to see the pair reconnect, you may want to curb your excitement.

“Maya and Stormzy may not be officially dating anymore, but they are still close and grew up together,” a source told the publication.

“She is really proud of him, and vice versa. They’ll always have a special bond. They spent time catching up and chatting; people were looking at them and giving them their space.”

Speaking about their four-year romance to Vogue earlier this year, Maya said: “None of us really knew the level of importance it held to a certain group of people, us being together.

“We were both super ambitious. We were both from similar upbringings, and we were both just little grafters that have made something good of ourselves. It was lovely when it was lovely, and then you move.”

Late last year, when Stormzy was featured on ‘Louis Theroux Meets…’, fans were pushing for the pair to reunite after the rapper shared his innermost feelings on his and Maya’s split.

“My break-up, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man.”

“It was like, OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you.

“That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? Away from someone passing away, that’s the biggest loss you can have,” he told Louis.

“Long story short, I learned that if I don’t want to feel like that again and if I believe that God will bless me again with an amazing woman and a family and marriage and all of that kind of thing, I have to do all the necessary work to never be in that situation again.”

Stormzy admitted via song that he had been unfaithful to his ex.

In the lyrics of his track Lessons, he revealed he had ‘done the dirt.’

“I done the dirt and then I figured that you’ll dig it out / But that’s a coward move, I guess you got me figured out / I know you’ll never listen now.

“Fast forward now, my nephew’s still asking for his Auntie Maya / Guess this is the karma for what I done to Maya.”

The grime rapper opened up to Louis about his infidelity, sharing that he learned that he doesn’t ‘want to feel like that again’

“I believe that God will bless me again with an amazing woman and a family and marriage and all of that kind of thing… I have to do all the necessary work to never be in that situation again.”

While romance may be off the cards, it’s great to see them still have a friendship and support each other’s achievements!
