Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett marries long-term boyfriend

The Mean Girls star had been in a relationship with his partner Jaymes since 2017.

A massive congratulations is in order for actor Jonathan Bennett who has married his long-term boyfriend Jaymes Vaughan.

The couple recently tied the knot at a ceremony in Mexico.

Bennett, who is perhaps best known for playing Aaron Samuels in the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls, began dating Jaymes in 2017.

The actor shared details of his wedding with PEOPLE Magazine, and described it as a "dream wedding".

He told the publication: "If you had told me this was one of my Hallmark movie sets, I would have believed it. It was that perfect."

The couple definitely added their own flair to the wedding, and Jonathan walked down the aisle to a song Jaymes had written just for him.

They spoke to the magazine about how they made the day their own.

Jaymes said: "When you’re part of the LGBTQ+ fam, not everything in the wedding space is for you yet."

The newlywed added: "The whole purpose of our wedding is to come together and join the two of us together, join our families together and start a new family."

Jonathan echoed his new husband's sentiments, adding: "And all that, as we were going through this process, we realized that our wedding is also more than just about us. It’s about the entire community.”

When the couple shared a joint Instagram photo from their special day, they were instantly met with messages of congratulations and well-wishes from many of their famous friends.
