Their lives may look glamorous but there’s no doubt that the royals have to do a lot of travelling as part of their work.

The family clock up thousands of miles jetting around the world each year as they embark on tours to represent the UK abroad.

Queen Elizabeth has visited over 120 countries in her time and though she’s beginning to slow down (the woman is 92, in fairness) her children and grandchildren are well on top of the family’s travel commitments.

It’s something that Meghan Markle will have to get used to as part of her role as a royal.

Planes are hotbeds for germs but Meghan has a handy trick up her sleeve to help her avoid getting sick while she flies.

The duchess shared the advice on her now defunct lifestyle blog The Tig a couple of years back, revealing that she learned it from none other than Leonardo Di Caprio.

“He puts a little [antibacterial gel] on a cotton swab and coats the inside of his nostrils.

“Not only does it create a barrier for germs, it also lubricates the skin in the nose.”

“That’s important because when the skin cracks, germs can come a running on, so the coating of the [gel] doubly protects you.”

It’s something that’ll no doubt come in handy for Meghan as she embarks on her first royal tour this autumn.

She and husband Prince Harry are off to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand next month.
