Meghan Markle has just made history (again) as the first royal to be nominated for THIS award

We never predicted this one.

It looks like The Duchess of Sussex will be going head to head with the likes of Harry Styles and Blake Lively to win the coveted title of “Choice Style Icon” at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

Yep, the shortlist was announced yesterday and it looks like the royal has made the cut. Actually, it looks like Meghan is the first royal in the history of royals to be nominated for a Teen Choice Award.

The award recognises the best dressed in Hollywood with previous winners including Britney Spears in her heyday. But now, it is no surprise that the royal has been nominated for the award. Since the engagement announcement last year, the star has been catapulted into the spotlight and her looks have not disappointed us, in fact, nearly everything Meghan Markle wears sells out instantly.

And this mightn’t be the only award nomination for Ms Markle this year, it has also been reported that the SUITS star could be nominated for an Emmy Award for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit series.

Question is, will the royal attend any of these events? More than likely not, but we will keep out hope.
