How cute.
Meghan Markle has shared her first official tweet since she deleted her social media accounts last year – and it’s actually quite sweet.
The 37-year-old closed down her Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts earlier this year, in the lead up to her wedding to Prince Harry.
Kensington Palace said at the time [via the Independent] that she was “grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years” but closed them “as she has not used these accounts for some time”.
Today [October 27], the Duchess of Sussex publicly took to social media for the first time since then – and it was very much a couple goals moment.
The former actress posted a photo of her husband as they rehearsed their speeches for the Invictus Games’ closing ceremony. The black-and-white photo shots Harry walking across the stage, holding a microphone.
The tweet was shared by Kensington Palace’s official account – which Meghan shares with Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
It said:
“Getting ready for tonight’s @InvictusSydney closing ceremony, where we will celebrate the #InvictusGames competitors, and their friends and families. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will both speak at the ceremony this evening.”
