Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are the ‘least hardworking’ royals for THIS reason

Makes sense.

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were revealed to be the least hardworking royals of 2018.

The two Duchesses undertook the least amount of official duties in the 12 month period.

But in fairness, there are some pretty good reasons for that.

Kate Middleton was named the “least hard-working” Royal in 2018, and only carried out a total of 87 engagements.

However, she did spend the first quarter of 2018 pregnant, giving birth to Prince Louis in April.

She kept a low profile after the birth, enjoying her official maternity leave until September.

So to be honest, 87 engagements is pretty impressive, considering.

Meghan was also on the list, after her sister-in-law.

The reason for Meghan being considered one of the least hardworking members of the family?

Well, she only officially joined the family in May 2018, after her marriage to Prince Harry.

So, really she only had 6 months of official engagements, rather than a full year.

Plus, the new Duchess announced her pregnancy in 2018, which may be another reason for her not taking on too much work.

In 2018, Prince William carried out a total of 220 official engagements, but was beaten by his grandmother.

Yep, the 92-year-old Queen carried out an astonishing 283 official engagements in 2018 – not too shabby.

However, it was Prince Charles who really impressed us, carrying out 507 official royal engagements in 2018.

BUT… he was not the winner.

Princess Anne was named as the hardest working member of the royal family in 2018, carrying out 518 engagements.

Prince William would want to up his game…
