This is the reason why Meghan Markle didn’t sit with the Royal family on Remembrance Day

Interesting.

Over the weekend, members of the British family attended events for Remembrance Day.

They were all there, from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Prince Michael of Kent and the Cambridges.

However, a number of people noticed that Meghan did not watch the Remembrance Day events with the rest of the family.

Royal snub? Or just perhaps some protocol thing.

The Duchess of Sussex watched the proceedings from the balcony of a separate window outside the Cenotaph war memorial.

She was joined by the President of Germany and his wife.

Apparently, at official events, the Royal Family arrange themselves according to a Royal “pecking order”.

Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine, told PEOPLE:

“She was not as prominent perhaps as some people might have expected, but there’s a pecking order.”

“There was no slight intended, but William being the older, more senior brother would go out first with his wife.”

“She was central rather than the alternative of being in the front row and along the balcony to the left or right.”

A palace source said Meghan’s balcony position “would have come from her”.

“There’s no one laying this out, telling her where to stand.”

“And there were a lot of kids, who everyone would want at the front.”
