We've heard a lot of talk about royal salaries and working royals lately. The likes of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are not considered to be 'working royals', meaning they have real jobs. Basically, they don't have to attend official events or engagements. nice, right? Well, being a non-working royal also means that you don't get an official salary from the crown. Sad for them. Anyway, it would seem as though Meghan Markle does not draw a salary from the monarchy either, despite now being a full time working royal. However, she's not exactly struggling financially, believe us. Meghan has all of her expenses paid for by the British tax payer, along with money from Prince Charles' holdings. Charles has an income from his duchy (of Cornwall), which he uses to support himself and his children (and their wives and kids). Prince Harry also gets a pretty significant allowance from the estate of his late mother, Princess Diana. So basically, Meghan may not have a salary - but is well looked after financially! And remember, Meghan Markle was not exactly strapped for cash before marrying a Prince. Meghan was a successful actress, and amassed a net worth of $5 million. The Duchess also recently sold her home in California for $1.6 million - so she's pretty comfortable! Who needs a salary, sure?
