The beautiful bride wore a custom-made Givenchy dress, that was perfectly simple and chic. However, it might have been simple and elegant - but it was far from cheap. Meghan chose to work with Clare Waight Keller, who is currently the artistic director of Givenchy, because of her ”timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour”. Meghan Markle’s wedding dress is estimated to have cost a whopping £387,000... CASUAL. An exact value for the royal wedding dress was not released, however it was estimated that the dress could have cost anywhere between £200k and £400k. Obviously leaning towards the higher amount. Compare that to Kate Middleton's wedding dress, which cost £250,000 - a bargain in comparison. And it was Kate's parents who picked up the tab for their daughter's wedding dress. Royal expert, Katie Nicholl, spoke about the two wedding dresses before Meghan and Harry's wedding. "It was Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who paid for that bill." “I think it is very unlikely that Meghan would spend more than that and in doing so try and upstage a future queen."
