Miley Cyrus responds to rumours she is expecting her first child

 Miley Cyrus has responded to rumours that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Liam Hemsworth.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that the pair, who wed late last month, were "over the moon" to be expecting a baby girl. The same reports said that the newlyweds were planning to raise the little one in Australia. However, Miley has now responded to the speculation - referencing the now most-liked photo on Instagram of an egg. Alongside a photo of herself with an egg photoshopped over her stomach, she wrote on Twitter:

 "I’m not 'Egg-xpecting' but it’s 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so 'Happy For Us' .... we’re happy for us too! "'Egg-cited' for this next chapter in our lives.... Now , can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg."

  The couple said 'I do' on December 23 last year during an intimate at-home ceremony in Franklin, Tennessee. A few days later, the singer confirmed their happy news as she shared a series of sweet photos from their big day. It had been rumoured that they would travel to Australia for their big day but it they decided to stay nearer home instead. The pair met on the set of The Last Song, eventually getting engaged in 2012 and breaking up a short time later. They reunited in 2015.
