Mischa Barton ‘devastated’ when ex-boyfriend tried to sell revenge porn

Mischa Barton has said she was “devastated” when her ex-boyfriend tried to sell revenge porn after they broke up.

Jon Zacharias tried to sell explicit images and videos of the actor to various media outlets when their relationship ended.

Barton layer filed a lawsuit against Zacharias who was then banned from selling the footage which Barton said was obtained without her consent.

The OC actor also received a restraining order against Zacharias who was trying to sell the sex tape for half a million dollars.

She told Broadly’s The Scarlet Letter Reports that the incident “devastated” her and that she had thought her relationship was “safe.”

Speaking to Amanda Knox, she said:

“I was afraid. I was a lot of things. It was a mixture of emotions. I’m sure a lot of women who go through anything similar, feel the same kind of mixture of rage and fear and uncertainty.

“I think that’s what most predators are banking on. That you’ll have that shame inside and that you won’t fight back. And to be honest, your head is spinning and you don’t know what to do.”

Barton said that when she discovered that the press had found out about the footage, she was devastated.

“I felt like he was safe. I didn’t know until one of his friends came to me and said, ‘You should be careful.’

“And then he started bragging about it to the wrong people who came to me. But then there was still no specific proof and you’d just hope it would disappear.”

This comes after Barton told that she was hospitalised last year after somebody slipped GHB, the date rape drug, into her drink.

She released a statement reading: “While having drinks, I realised that something was not right as my behaviour was becoming erratic and continued to intensify over the next several hours.”

Barton said that doctors found GHB in her system.

She was released from hospital soon after for recovery.
