Molly-Mae Hague has deemed herself a “terrible girlfriend” after she couldn’t make it up the stairs to wake her boyfriend Tommy Fury from his nap when he asked.
The Love Island star took to her Instagram stories last night to share the funny story with her fans after she realised that Tommy had been asleep much longer than he had intended.
Tommy decided that he would take a short nap in the day and asked Molly-Mae if she could wake in after 15 minutes, only intending it to be a quick power nap.
But Molly soon discovered that getting up the stairs to wake Tommy up would prove to be a bigger challenge alone than she thought as she is now eight months pregnant.
As she is unable to tackle the stairs alone anymore, the influencer left Tommy for a two-and-a-half-hour nap as he woke up at 7 pm and was very confused.
Speaking on Instagram, she said: “Do excuse the state of me. We just went swimming before. I’m trying to stay active, it’s not really going very well, but guys, I feel like such a terrible girlfriend right now.
“Tommy went for a nap two and a half hours ago, and he said to me ‘please wake me up after 15 minutes, like 15 minutes tops I only want to be asleep for.”
“The reason it’s been two-and-a-half hours and I’ve still not woken him is because I can’t walk up the stairs. I can’t do it,” she continued.
“Thinking of the stairs right now is like thinking about Mount Everest in my head. Like, it is an impossible task.
“A switch has flipped in this pregnancy where normal day-to-day jobs… they are just impossible tasks now, and I really didn’t expect that to happen. And yeah…. sorry Tommy when you see this. You’ve literally been asleep nearly three hours now.”
She then posted a picture of the stairs that she inevitably had to get up later that night when she headed to bed with the caption: “Was nice knowing you all”.
