God love him.

The 28 year old took to Twitter to thank the staff on board who looked after him on the flight when he began to feel very sick.

The Mullingar man wrote: “Thank you to the staff on that @British_Airways flight. I was extremely ill and they took such good care of me.”

The official account for the airline replied to the One Direction star, saying: “Thanks for your lovely comments about the care you received from our crew on your flight, Niall. We’ll be sure to pass on your thanks to them.”

Niall did not disclose what made him so ill on the flight but it comes only days after he was spotted at the Super Bowl LVI with Shawn Mendes in Los Angeles.

Niall is set to appear on The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy tonight but will be appearing via Zoom.

The singer is appearing on the show to pay tribute to golfer Leona Maguire, the first Irish winner in LGPA history with a three-shot win in Florida at the beginning of February.

She is also appearing on the show to chat to Ryan about her crazy last few weeks.

Worldwide best selling author Marian Keyes is also appearing on the show to speak about her lengthy career over the last three decades, with her family and friends joining in the audience.

Eleanor McEvoy will perform South Anne Street from her new album Gimme Some Wine.
