Nice Nan: Olly’s Gran Knits Hat for Simon Cowell!

The only thing sweeter than your Nan knitting a winter hat for you is your Nan knitting a winter hat for your friend. And that’s exactly what Olly Murs’ granny has done. And it’s not just any friend, it’s a very rich and powerful friend called Simon Cowell.

The Dance With Me singer revealed that his grandmother knitted the music mogul a woolly hat for when he wants to go for a jog in Los Angeles.

He explained: “She calls them Nana’s knits and she actually sold them on eBay. She goes up to Simon and says, ‘Alright Simon, here’s a woolly hat. When you are running around Los Angeles getting fit, you might want to keep your head warm.’”

Simon doesn't look like he needs a woolly hat in that weather.

The 28 year old chart-topper who found fame on X Factor a few years ago added: “I said ‘Nan, it’s not cold in LA and does Simon even go running?’”

But still, it’s the thought that counts! We only wish she had knitted us a woolly hat for this morning.
