He’s giving his answers.

Nick Cannon has revealed that he has been advised to remain celibate after finding out that Bre Tiesi is pregnant with his eighth child.

Speaking to Angela Yee on Monday’s Rumor Report, the comedian said: “My therapist was one of the [people] who said that I should probably be celibate because I had shared that news, that Bre was pregnant.

“That was the reason why I started my celibacy journey back then … I was [celibate] because I was dealing with [this].”

Admitting that he felt like his life was “out of control”, he added that he feels celibacy has helped in dealing with everything.

“Honestly, the celibacy did help me through the journey of getting one with myself and dealing with this,” he admitted. ”So now everyone knows why I was actually being celibate.”

As Tiesi is now 20 weeks along, he cleared up rumours that he had broken his celibacy, saying: “For anyone who’s thinking, ‘No, he wasn’t celibate,’ I was.”

Cannon stated that he is no longer celibate, joking that he “made it almost to [the] new year.”

It was back in September of 2021 that his therapist advised him not to have sex after he welcomed four children with three different women in under a year. He then claimed he would remain celibate until 2022.

Cannon welcomed three children in June 2021 – Zen, who sadly passed away from brain cancer in November, with model Alyssa Scott, and twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.

It was only six months prior that he and ex Brittany Bell welcomed daughter Powerful Queen. He also shares four year old son Golden with Brittany.

Cannon is also father to 10 year old twins Moroccan and Monroe who he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
