Nicole Richie recreated ‘The Simple Life’ for a photoshoot and it’s all we need

This is gold.

This is GOLD.

The Simple Life is really the epitome of our simpler times. I was 12-years-old when I first became hooked on the show in 2006. I wanted to drink Starbucks (which wasn’t in Ireland then), I wanted a velour trackie (which I got) and I begged my parents for a chihuahua (which I upsettingly still do not own), yep, those were the biggest struggles for me and most of us 90s babies, who found ourselves wishing we were part of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s “that’s hot” group.

And although there’s talks that The Simple Life could return to our screens, it remains uncertain. But now that Nicole Richie has dressed up as her former 00s self for a photoshoot, who knows, she could just get a taste to relive her old past (we hope!!!!)

Appearing in a shoot for Paper Magazine, the mag asked the star to recreate some of her iconic looks from the past and her Simple Life one has to be our ultimate fave.

Starbucks, Blackberry, oversized shades and velour matching tracksuit. GOLD.

Speaking about the shoot, Nicole said: “Just as I was prepared to lock up the early 2000 Nicole & throw away the key, @papermagazine asked me to re-create some of my looks for the most fun photo shoot I’ve done in a long time.”

But why would she want to lock up these gas ensembles?

You have the iconic blue baker boy hat and yellow mini-dress from 2004…

OR… the tie-dye purple dress with satin Chanel handbag from 2005?

We need this show again, and we need it now. I think a binge watch could be in order to get my “fix”.
