Doireann Garrihy has admitted she’s taking a step back from her Snapchat impressions of Irish celebrities and bloggers – as she doesn’t want people to get tired of them.

The Spin 1038 host shot to fame last year after her series of hilarious videos went viral.

And while there’s a few fan favourites – including SoSueMe, Pippa O’Connor, Marissa Carter, and Una Healy – the 25-year-old said choosing her top impression would be “like picking my favourite child, if I had kids”.

She also told us about why she’s decided to take a small step back from the impressions after the “madness” of the last year.

She exclusively revealed to Her:

“I’ve always done impressions, even when I was in school I did them of my teachers and that kind of thing.

“I think it was around this time last year, I decided to give them a whack and I put them up all at once online.

“They went viral and it was just madness. I don’t do the impressions too often, I kind of dip in and out of them now as I don’t want people to get tired of them.”

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old revealed she would “absolutely love to” take a spin on the Dancing With The Stars Ireland dance floor following her older sister Aoibhín’s success on the series.

And while she’s become a Strictly Come Dancing fan since watching the RTE series, Doireann shared with us the reason she’s ready to compete for the glitter ball trophy.

She added:

“I’m tuning into Strictly this year, because my sister was on Dancing With the Stars Ireland [last season]. I’d never watched it before that.

“I fell in love with the format of the show of Dancing With the Stars – and so it was like ‘OK, I’m watching Strictly so.’

“If I was asked [to do Dancing With The Stars Ireland], I wouldn’t say no – I would absolutely love to do it. “

The Dubliner also shared her top style secrets for when she’s getting ready to hit the red carpet – and there’s one thing in particular that’s key. She added:

“Mascara, always – and eyebrow product, I think you always need that as well.

“I always go for comfort when I’m on the red carpet.

“I’m not really a ball gown person, so I always try to work in something I’ll be comfortable in.”

Doireann was speaking at the launch of Centra’s Cups For Cancer coffee morning to launch their Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives in support of the Irish Cancer Society.

The Snapchat influencer said she was delighted to join the cause and help raise awareness.

She continued:

“I think it’s the perfect thing for me to be involved in, because I’m from a family of three girls.

“We all need to be very breast aware, and we’re all getting to the age now – I’m the youngest, I’m 25.

“We’re getting to the age now where we need to look after ourselves.

“I was delighted to join such a worthy cause and to raise awareness of it.”
