Beyond excited.

Nothing broke our young hearts more than when Zoey 101 got cancelled back in 2008.

While looking back on the series now and noticing it was nowhere near perfect, but God does it bring back some nostalgia.

And now it seems we might get to relive our childhoods as a Zoey 101 sequel movie starring Jamie Lynn Spears is officially in the works.

The film will see original cast members joining forces once again for the Nickelodeon movie and its rumoured name can only be one thing – Zoey 102.

The original series ran for four season from 2005 to 2008 and centred around Zoey Brooks as she enrolled in Pacific Coast Academy, a school that previously only allowed boys to attend.

The upcoming film however sees the cast reunite at a wedding and will go from there.

According to Variety, other original cast members on board for the movie are Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese), Christopher Massey (Michael Barrett), Abby Wilde (Stacey Dillsen) and Jack Salvatore (Mark Del Figgalo).

But according to Pop Crave, Victoria Justice won’t be returning for the sequel, but her reasoning is unknown.

Production is already said to be underway and Jamie-Lynn even shared a snap of the script on Instagram, writing: “IT’S OFFICIAL… are you ready?”

Jamie Lynn is also set to serve as an executive producer on the new film and it is expected to premiere on Paramount+ later this year.

In a statement, the 31-year-old said: “I’m beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love.

“As an executive producer, it’s been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.”
