Much-loved actress Lynda Bellingham will be laid to rest later today, following an emotional farewell from friends and family in Somerset.
The star, who is best known for her role as the mother in the Oxo adverts, died of colon cancer last month after choosing to finish chemotherapy.
Her husband Michael, sons Michael and Robert and stepson Bradley fulfilled Lynda’s final wish for “one final show” at her funeral, with the 66-year-old asking her loved ones to “have a party when I’m gone”.
“I’ve never known anyone more alive than Lynda Bellingham. She taught us how to die with grace and courage,” said friend Giles Brandreth at the ceremony.
According to the Daily Mail, Lynda’s husband Micheal had lined up several acts to make the day a celebration of her life and those in attendance included her Loose Women co-stars Jane McDonald, Andrea McLean, Kate Thornton, Lisa Maxwell and Coleen Nolan.
