“We’ve had some really unexpected news.”
TV presenter Alex Jones has revealed that she is expecting baby number three.
The One Show host shared the happy news live on air yesterday.
Jones and her husband Charlie Thompson, an insurance broker, have two children together.
While broadcasting, Alex announced that she felt “really nervous” before she shared her news with co-host Ronan Keating, the crew and the viewers watching at home.
“I feel really nervous all of a sudden,” she began. “It just seems like a good time to share some news with everybody – and the crew in the studio for the first time!”
“Lockdown’s been anything but predictable,” she said. “And we’ve had some really unexpected news. Baby number three is on the way!”
The Welsh woman was immediately met with applause from a stripped back studio. Keating cheered and told her it was “fabulous news”. The Boyzone star added that he was “so excited” for her.

Jones told the studio that the news came as a surprise.
“We didn’t see that one coming,” she admitted. “But, yeah, we’re delighted.”
The One Show presenter also shared that she is expecting a girl.
Alex and Charlie tied the knot in 2015. Two years later, they welcomed their first child Teddy, a boy. At the time, she was making a documentary about conception called Fertility and Me.
While filming, Alex developed concerns about her own fertility as she discovered that her mother experienced premature menopause at 44.
Sadly, Alex suffered a miscarriage in 2017.
Joy came in 2019, when the couple welcomed their second son, Kit.
Alex shared a glimpse of her newborn in a photo on Instagram.
