Orlando Bloom accidentally misspells his son’s name in his new tattoo

Orlando Bloom has unveiled a tattoo tribute to his nine-year-old son Flynn – but eagle-eye fans couldn’t help notice a big error.

The 43-year-old actor – who shares Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr – took to Instagram to show off his new ink, holding up his arm for the camera.

“New #tattoo can you guess who,” he captioned the photo.

He later explained to a fan [via Entertainment Tonight] that the tattoo was Flynn in morse code, alongside the date and time of his birth.

However, some people were quick to point out an error with the inking: Flynn’s name was misspelled.

“If the Morse code is supposed to spell out Flynn then there is a mistake,” someone said, while another person added: “I’m sorry but that tattoo most definitely says ‘Frynn.’”

“It’s a lovely idea and a beautiful tattoo. But if it is indeed morse code, I think it says ‘Frynn,’ not ‘Flynn.’”

The tattoo artist later took to Instagram to acknowledge the error, assuring fans that it would be corrected.

“A beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son,” he captioned the same photo of Bloom. “and yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed :)”
