The reason why the media personality opts to go fresh-faced is a heartbreaking one.
Last month, Pamela confessed to Elle that when her long-time make-up artist, Alexis Vogel, sadly passed away from breast cancer, she decided to strip down her beauty routine.
"She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup," Pamela shared, adding that it has been 'freeing' and 'fun' to forego her makeup routine and embrace the beauty and privilege of ageing.
"[It's] a little rebellious too. Because I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite what everyone’s doing.
"I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older. And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really...what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey. I feel rooted for. I feel good. I’m in a good place."

This is something that has fuelled an important conversation, with many fans and social media users commending the actress' for being someone in the public eye who is 'embracing aging gracefully'.
"I’m happy Pamela Anderson went makeup free at whatever latest event that then ended up making headlines. I post makeup free non filtered selfies all the time!
"Normalize being makeup free, normalize aging, normalize thriving at any age & being sexy without trying to hide your age," one wrote.
"Fr like Pamela Anderson of all ppl can go without makeup we all can. And I say that bc she was such a “bomb shell it girl” of her time not bc she needs makeup or anything," one user added.
"Now this is Pamela Anderson without makeup at 56 looking gorgeous for Vivienne Westwood," one declared.

However, many users had to use their platform to defend Pamela from nasty troll comments that targeted her decision to embrace her natural beauty and call out misogyny.
"Reading the comments cis men have left under the picture of Pamela Anderson without makeup has given me the authoritarian opinion that you should be required to go through a full psychological evaluation before being able to access p*rn," one clapped back.
"As a fellow makeup free baddie, I love this! I want women choosing to go without makeup in their every day life AND during special occasions to be normalised. The misogyny & nasty comments aimed at Pamela Anderson for aging & going make up free are disgusting," another wrote.
