Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory passes away, aged 52

She passed away following a battle with cancer.

Actor Helen McCrory has passed away, aged 52. The star, who was well known for her roles in Peaky Blinders and James Bond, died this week following a battle with cancer. Her husband, fellow actor Damian Lewis, announced the news today, stating that he is "heartbroken."

"The beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully as home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family," he wrote.

"She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you."

She was best known for her roles in Peaky Blinders, Harry Potter, and James Bond. She and husband Damian were married since  2007.
