Pete Davidson actually spoke about splitting from Ariana Grande weeks ago and um, awkward

OK then.

Well, this is awkward.

Yesterday, the news broke that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called off their engagement and decided to end things romantically after a whirlwind romance that was “too much, too soon”.

The pair, who seemed to be inseparable since their engagement news hit the headlines on June 11, 2018, now appear to have ended things according to TMZ, who first reported the news.

This follows a series of traumatic weeks for Ariana Grande, following the death of former boyfriend of two-years, Mac Miller. Days after the rapper’s death, Ariana announced that she was taking a break from the spotlight, focusing her time on self-healing.

And although neither Pete nor Ariana has yet spoken out about the alleged split, it looks like Pete Davidson actually predicted what was going to happen weeks ago.

In a skit for SNL, Pete spoke about Ariana and her new album Sweetener. The album in question has a song called Pete Davidson and the comedian laughed about the fact that he doesn’t get any royalties from the song and should, just in case they “break up”.

“You know, I don’t even get royalties for that ‘Pete Davidson’ song? Like, if we break up, and we won’t — we will — but we won’t. I’m kidding. But like in ten years if God forbid that ever happened, there will be a song called ‘Pete Davidson’ like playing in speakers at K-Mart and I’ll be working there.”

Awks, we know.
