Peter Andre “Devastated” After Brother Passes Away

Peter Andre is said to be distraught by the death of his older brother Andrew who sadly passed away at the weekend.

According to reports the singer had to say goodbye to his 54-year-old sibling who lost his battle against kidney cancer on Sunday.

A spokeswoman told the Daily Mirror on behalf of the reality television star: “Peter is devastated. He was very, very close to his brother. This is the very first family member Peter has experienced losing. He just needs time to grieve.”

 

Peter was at Andrew's bedside up until the every end.

Andrew was diagnosed with kidney cancer earlier this year and was believed to be responding well to treatment until last month when his health took a turn for the worse.

When Peter found this out, he cancelled a number of tour dates and rushed to be by his brother’s side. So too did his mother and father.

The pair have always been extremely close with Andrew appearing in a number of his younger brother’s reality shows and being there during the breakdown of his marriage to Katie Price.

The tragic news was confirmed on Facebook by Peter’s other brother Chris last night while his other sibling Michael paid tribute to Andrew on Twitter today. He wrote: “R.I.P. my beautiful brother.”

Peter himself is yet to say anything but we’re sure that each of the Andre family are coping in their own way at this very difficult time and our thoughts are with them.
