PIC: Amy Winehouse Statue Unveiled In Her “Beloved Camden”
A bronze statue of singer Amy Winehouse has been unveiled in Camden Market to mark the late singer’s 31st birthday.
Friends and family of the singer were joined by music fans for the unveiling, where the beehived statue will stand.
Helping her parents Mitch and Janis Winehouse at the ceremony, were the statue’s sculptor Scott Eaton and Eastenders actress Barbara Windsor, whom the singer had grown attached to the year before she died.
At the ceremony, Mr Winehouse, said his daughter was ‘in love with Camden’, adding:
“The family have always been keen to have a memorial for her in the place she loved the most, which will provide fans a place to visit and attract people to the area.”
