Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hanging out in Edinburgh today

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are on an official royal visit to Edinburgh today.

Meghan and Harry, who are due to marry on 19 May, were welcomed to the Scottish city by the Royal Marines Scotland Band.

They arrived at the Esplanade outside Edinburgh Castle and will later visit social enterprise café, Social Bite.

Social Bite is a not-for-profit social enterprise that invests all its takings in tackling homelessness.

According to the BBC, many of the people working for the organisation have experienced homelessness and it’s believed that the royal couple will meet some of the staff when they are given a tour of the premises later today.

Unsurprisingly, all eyes were on Meghan’s outfit and fittingly, she chose a tartan-print coat from Burberry.

The former Suits actress paired the woollen coat with flared trousers from Veronic Beard and a crossbody bag from Strahbury, a company based in Edinburgh.

Yesterday, Kensington Palace shared further details of the upcoming royal wedding.

The wedding ceremony will take place at 12pm on May, 19 at St George’s Chapel. The Dead of Windsor will conduct the service and the Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate the vows.

After the wedding, at 1 pm, newly married Harry and Meghan will travel from St George’s Chapel through the town of Windsor in a carriage before returning to Windsor Castle.

After that, they will return to St George’s Hall to meet with the wedding congregation before inviting ‘close friends and family’ to a private evening reception.
