Huge congrats to the newlyweds.
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have officially tied the knot, according to multiple reports.
The couple, who got engaged in July the year, are said to have said ‘I do’ at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on Saturday.
The Christian wedding ceremony was reportedly officiated by the groom’s father.
Vogue report that their wedding festivities kicked off on Wednesday with a number of traditional pre-celeberationo, including a sangeet, a pre-wedding celebration which includes dances performance by family and friends; a mehndi ceremony, where the bride has traditional henna tattoos applied to the palms of her hands and her arms; as well as a haldi ceremony, which is said to bless the couple and ward off evil.
The publication report the celebrations will continue into tomorrow – with the Hindu ceremony set to take place on Sunday.
The actress is said to have worn a custom Ralph Lauren gown for the ceremony today, as the designer has played a very special part in the couple’s love story.
He invited the pair to attend the 2017 Met Gala together in New York – although, in fact, the now-newlyweds had been texting beforehand.
People report that the groom also wore Ralph Lauren, as did both families, all of the bridesmaids, and all of the groomsmen.
A source previously told the publication:
“It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honors her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honors Nick’s Christian upbringing.
“They are doing both.”
